Selecting and shipping tonewood from a distance can be difficult for luthiers who ideally hand-select wood for their instruments. With years of experience working with luthiers to select and ship tonewood to countries on six continents, we understand these concerns and try to make selection and shipping simple with our online shop.
Grading of tonewood is subjective and tonewood suppliers can use different criteria, so we seek to provide as much information as possible on our online shop. We offer individual pieces with pictures and detailed descriptions such as the grade, production year, price, specific gravity, and interesting features (e.g. bear claw). If you need more specific information about an item, please do not hesitate to contact us.
To ensure the least-cost method of shipping, we have agreements with some of the larger worldwide shipping companies. Our Shipping Calculator will give a full estimate of the door-to-door shipping costs of the contents of your shopping cart.
Three Ways to Buy
1. From the Online Shop

– Add products to the shopping cart
– Calculate the door-to-door shipping cost by entering your country and postal code
– Proceed to checkout and pay the total by bank transfer, credit card or PayPal.
You will receive an e-mail confirmation for your order. In two business days or less we will ship the parcel and inform you of the tracking number.
2. Send us an inquiry
All of our stock is not listed online, so if you do not find the products you want in the online shop, please send us an inquiry detailing what you are looking for specifically. We will respond as soon as possible with pictures and other information to choose the right wood for you together.
After you have selected your tonewood, we will send a door-to-door offer. If you accept, you can pay by bank transfer, credit card or PayPal.
3.Visit our facility
We welcome your visit to our facility to browse our stock of tonewood. Please contact us to schedule an appointment. We would be happy to make your visit more convenient and enjoyable by booking lodging and/or organizing transportation from the airport or train station to our facility.
Duties and VAT
– Any order sent out of European Union will not be VAT charged.
Abroad deliveries are charged DAP (Delivery At Place). The recipient may be required to pay customs duty in the country of destination.
– Orders sent inside the European Union will be charged with the VAT of the destination country. However, if the buyer is a company or self-employed, and provides a VAT code, then the VAT will not be added to the total amount of invoice. In this case, please send us an email with your company name, country and VAT code.
Return policy
If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase and want to return items, you must contact us within 15 working days after receiving your order. Original shipping costs are not refundable and you are responsible for return shipping costs. Once the goods have been received by our shop, the refund will be processed.
